Primary What We Do Where We've Been

Bridge House Primary School

As of September 2018 Bridge House also offers a KS2 primary program.

Over the Summer of 2018, the building on Great Fen Road was transformed and now we have purpose-built classrooms; a central dining and assembly space;  separate KS1 and KS2 outdoor play areas; a kitchen; a car park and even a “Pet Zone”!

Since September, we have taken on six pupils so far across Key Stages 1 and 2. Parents and carers have reported that they are extremely happy with the provision that is being put into place for their children already.

A full KS2 Curriculum is now in place and we are currently developing a curriculum for KS1. We are a very warm, friendly and welcoming team of 3 teachers and 7 Teaching Assistants, with additional Behaviour Support.

Our mission is to provide an emotionally safe environment for our pupils where learning and personal development can thrive. We have lots of experience of teaching pupils with SEN as well as SEMH difficulties. We work to a robust system of Positive Behaviour Management that encourages our pupils to take responsibility for their own actions and be rewarded with, among other things, frequent trips out, both for fun and educational purposes.

As our school is still in the early stages of its development, there is still much on going work to be done. We are creating a Sensory Space for children who need Time Out of lessons and we are already excited about our plans to have a small number of pets on site.

We are all very proud of what we have achieved in such a short space of time and the children are rightly proud of their successes too. We will always welcome visits and enquiries, so if you would like to arrange to have a look around, do let us know and you will be most welcome.

Here’s looking forward to even more exciting developments in 2020!
